Cepheid Lodi Manufacturing Expansion

Lodi, CA

Lab room for Cepheid Lodi project site

As the electrical contractor, we played a crucial role in constructing a new two-story building on a 7-acre site, which spans a 174,145-square-foot building area. This facility is designed to manufacture quick-result test kits for various infectious diseases, including COVID-19 tests.

Our team ensured the installation of electrical systems in the production cleanrooms, labs, offices, warehouse/storage, and packaging areas, providing reliable power to support the essential operations of this advanced manufacturing space.

Ensuring On-Time Completion Through a Multi-phase Approach

At EIG, we understand the importance of our customer's goals while maintaining our rigorous standards of safety, quality, and adherence to schedule.

On the Cepheid Lodi Manufacturing project, our team divided and subdivided the work into multiple phases and systems, allowing us to estimate the time required for each component accurately. This efficient approach promptly identified areas ahead or behind schedule, comprehensively projecting total hours.

The EIG team's dedication to maintaining project timelines was unwavering. They put in over 5,000 overtime hours, ensuring that every project phase, from the slab-on-grade to final power activation, was completed within the stipulated five months, from mid-March to mid-August.
